The Global Women’s Organization for Transcendental Meditation® is dedicated to developing the full creative potential and consciousness within every woman and girl through the implementation of evidence-based programs, including the Transcendental Meditation program, which are known to significantly improve the quality of life on the level of mind, body and behavior. International Women's Health Day, has been celebrated since 1987.

It aims to promote women's health and dignity worldwide. Women's health is an important facet of Maharishi Ayurveda.

"Woman is at the top of creation. That is her place and her Dharma (her calling), and this she must never lose; for if she does, there will be wars, suffering and cruelty. A woman is the opposite of all these things."

Respecting and supporting women's health and dignity, promotes peace and non-violence in society— particularly important in times like these when the stress of modern life can severely disrupt her natural rhythms.
